Study on the situation of the midlevel staff in 1997

In 1995, the Swiss Higher Education Conference (SHK), the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF), and
the Swiss Science Council (SWR) established a joint working group on midlevel staff. In addition to the three organizations mentioned above, this working group includes representatives from the ETH Board, the universities, the Verband der Mittelbauvereinigungen (predecessor of actionuni), and the Federal Statistical Office. The working group was chaired by the president of the Hochschulplanungskommission, Professor Hans Beck, and its scientific secretariat was provided by the Science Council.
